John Maguire FISDip, SFIDip
Meet John – nickname ‘the boss’
John has almost two decades worth of experience in the Passive Fire Protection industry and has worked on many major projects around the country. John’s knowledge and expertise are second to none and he has managed many projects of different values across the country. The experience John has gained in the industry have enabled him to acquire a vast amount of certification and qualifications which include Fire Stopping Inspection Diploma and Structural Steel Inspection Diploma. These have supported me with my ambition in becoming a managing director.
When I started out in the industry in 2001, and after gaining a vast amount of experience and knowledge, I then went on to found JM Passive Fire Protection in 2016, the company has since grown into one of the major players within the industry, and now working with a large amount of Tier A contractors.
In 2015 I then went on to work as a Contracts Manager, and whilst working in this role I managed many projects around the country where I built up an understanding that communication is key in getting all projects over the finish line. I also managed to build a very strong relationship with all clients, suppliers and contractors some of whom I keep in contact with today. Since starting the company in 2016, I have built up a very strong client base and continue to meet demands of new and old customers.
One thing I firmly believe in is I am only as good as the team I have around me, and we have all worked hard throughout the years in making the company what has become today, and we all have the passion and work ethic to keep growing, which will bring a lot more success in the future.
The growth of the company has exceeded my expectations as well as all the repeat customers we have. We are a trustworthy and reliable business and I am ready to continue the expansion of the company with a great team behind me.
Working within the public sector has enabled me to develop excellent communication skills and whilst working as the managing director within the team it is my duty to promote health and safety to all staff involved with JM Passive Fire Protection. I also pride myself on promoting a hands on approach, continuing to work closely with all operatives and working side by side with managers, surveyors and supervisors on site, so they all know what is expected in producing high quality and correctly installed work. Click here to see all our services we now offer at JM Passive Fire Protection.
On a personal level I love going to watch my team Everton with my two boys, we have been season ticket holders for as long as I can remember. I am also keen golfer and enjoy a round on the course when we get the weather!
We are very committed to making a difference to our local community and as a company we sponsor a professional boxer Peter McGrail and we look forward to watching him fulfil his dream and supporting him along the way.
My son plays for a local football team which we also proudly sponsor to allow children enjoy their passion of the game.
